[users@httpd] apache and sendmail

Is anyone out there using an apache server for yourdomain.com and then
another box for sendmail for users@yourdomain.com
I'm getting this error on the sendmail box.

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was
rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was
'lists@somewhere.net'.
Subject 'Re: relay issues', Account: 'mail.mydomain.com', Server:
'mail.mydomain.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1
<li...@somewhere.net>... Relaying denied. IP name possibly forged
[66.xx.xx.2]', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error
Number:
0x800CCC79

both servers are setup with yourdomain.com as the domain name (I only have 1
domain name) but server1 has dns records to forward mail.yourdomain.com
requests to other server? recommendations?
