Please also note bug #42980
which contains the part to be applied to xmlgraphics-commons.
This
patch will come in two steps:
Step 1: Replaces Font autoconfiguration to use URL instead
of Font. This patch is independent from the xmlgraphics-commons part and could (theoretically)
be applied before the 0.94 release.
Step 2: Will use the resource support from xmlgraphics,
and will therefore have to be delayed until after the release. (I estimate it to be only
4 lines, however).

Replaces font autodetection to use URI instead of File
Please note:
- This patch needs testing! The automatic tests ran fine on my
machine, but there may be more subtle hiden bugs. I can only test on OS X and
Linux, and would need someone to test this on Windows.
- FontLoader#loadFont()
was also kept in the old (File) style, as it looks to me to be part of the
public API. The old version may safely be deleted if it was not part of the
public API.
