Build 1.1.3 of Log4j

In my company any open source software we use needs to be under our version
control system(system of record).  We use Clearcase.  I am trying to build
log4j 1.1.3 using Rational's make.  I am getting errors.  What version of
make is used to build version 1.1.3.  The Rational make will emulate other
makes I just need to know which make to emulate.
