Would like to help with development

Hi,

I would like to help doing development in the project. Please let me
know if anything is required from my side. This will be my first project
for open source contribution, so I might need some prep work.

Thanks and Regards,

Rahul Panchabhai

Hi Demetris,

You definitely can tell whether a service has a REST endpoint from its
WSDL 2.0 description - that's the point! REST is typically taken as XML
over HTTP but it's valid to have other data types sent as well. In the
WSDL 2.0 document you'll want to inspect the bindings to see if there is
an HTTP binding and may want to inspect the content being delivered as
well. Here is an example document with HTTP bindings:

http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/2002/ws/desc/test-suite/documents/good/HTTPBinding-1G/Echo.wsdl?rev=1.3

Hi Martin,

I have been pulled away from this area for a while on other fires to
chase but I still
keep our thread on Woden / Rest for mobiles alive until I get a chance
to return
to it.

On a related note and a question that came up -
Would a simple inspection of a WSDL 2.0 document reveal with great
certainty
that such a document describes a REST service vs a SOAP. I would assume
this
is trivial as certain keywords across such documents can determine the
type of
service accessed but I wanted to run this by the list and see if this is
indeed the
case.

Thanks

download the source and one jira issue and refactor the code to implement a solution to fix the jira issue and then post solution here
you might want to check with your boss (Bill Marriott or Donald Trump?) beforehand

Hi Rahul,

In terms of selecting an issue, I would make a comment in the issue that
you're working on it to avoid duplicating effort with someone else.

In terms of SVN, you have read access. Once you have a fix ready you
should attach a patch to the Jira issue. You can obtain write access to
SVN by demonstrating good quality patches and your dedication to the
project and being voted in as a committer.

Hi,

I was trying to look as some open issues at this link
https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&jql
Query=project+%3D+WODEN+AND+status+%3D+Open+ORDER+BY+priority+DESC&mode=

Can I pick any issues or there is a process?
I am right now using read only svn access. Is that the view in which I
should be working?
