apache olingo

Hi All,
I am planning to use apache onlingo. May be I did not looked carefully  but
I could not find any document/information on the current limitations in
apache olingo library. Also I would like to know the road map for apache
olingo 's future releases.
My next question might not be suitable to this group but since my question
is related to odata I would like to ask it incase I can get any info on
that. What are current limitations of odata protocol? How does it handles
security and how can we restrict access to entities by some users?
OData has been around for sometime but I did not see any much uptick in its
adoption .
