All of a sudden when I click print OR do CTRL+p I no longer get a print window.
I get a window that appears to be a slightly off center print preview, with no
commands visible/available. Uninstalled and reinstalled software, still have
problem. Printer not new tho printer software updated about the same time.

This behavior is not typical and AOO works fine with Windows 7.
An often recommended solution to these kinds of problems is to delete or
(preferably) rename what is known as the "User Profile".
