Release 2.8.1?
Hi all,
we had a bunch of updates in the last months and I am going to do the
May updates right now.-
Any thoughts on a potential 2.8.1 ?

Hi folks,
I managed to test this with a real topology and the bug is still
there. I'll investigate this.
Alexandre, no need for you to test it.
@Richard Zowalla we can still release 2.8.1 and once I got the fix
properly aligned, we can perform another one.

I indeed doneed Kafka metrics in Storm UI console (showing Kafka
offset, lag, etc per topics/consumer groups) to be reliable.
So I have not mistaken the meaning of your question, then yes I shooud
be able to give feedbacks on this part of Storm when a RC of 2.8.1
will be available - provided it's not coming to quickly - I think I
would have some time to check this not before mid next-week.
