[jira] [Created] (CASSANDRA-17794) Users of NativeLibrary should handle lack of JNA appropriately when running DBD in client mode
Josh McKenzie created CASSANDRA-17794:
-----------------------------------------
Summary: Users of NativeLibrary should handle lack of JNA appropriately when running DBD in client mode
Key: CASSANDRA-17794
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-17794
Project: Cassandra
Issue Type: Improvement
Reporter: Josh McKenzie
Assignee: Josh McKenzie
There are cases where users that are using cassandra as a library and initializing {{DatabaseDescriptor}} specifically in client mode without JNA should be able to safely continue w/out JNA but are currently getting killed w/FSReadErrors. We should loosen that up a bit.
