Image library adapter package

Team,

Abey Mullassery, committer in Jakarta taglibs, recently wrote a proposal
for an image wrapper package. I answered to show him some pointers where
code such as this is used/needed. We already have a solution although it
probably needs an overhaul. If anyone of you is interested to work with
him on this, please get in touch with him (he's cc'ed). I would but
you know....
