[jira] Commented: (FTPSERVER-358) Embed Apache FtpServer into Geronimo

Niklas Gustavsson commented on FTPSERVER-358:
---------------------------------------------

Moving this issue into the FtpServer JIRA project.

I agree on us violating the Java EE spec in our WAR example, so having an option to deploy FtpServer as a RA would great. I don't foresee doing this myself, hopefully someone else will step up.

> It should be possible to deploy Apache FtpServer as JCA resource adapter into a JEE application server like Geronimo.
> The suggested way of Embedding FtpServer is a violation of the JEE spec because FtpServer opens server sockets.
