[Issue 125561] New: AOO 4.1.1 can't find Apple Java v1.6.5_65
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125561
Issue ID: 125561
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: AOO 4.1.1 can't find Apple Java v1.6.5_65
Product: Base
Version: 4.1.1
Hardware: Mac
OS: Mac OSX, 10.9
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: code
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: davrowen@gmail.com
In this version of OpenOffice (4.1.1) I am not able to open the Form for a
database which I used successfully with the previous version. I get an error
message stating "No Java installation could be found."
If I go to Preferences - OpenOffice - Java, under "Java runtime environments
(JRE) alredy installed:" the table is empty whereas in version 4.1.0 it shows:
Vendor Version Features
Apple Inc. 1.6.0_65
Fortunately, compared to many software suppliers you leave older versions
available for download so I have been able to resolve my problem by reverting
to version 4.1.0

Why not install Oracle JRE?
Your problem is not a bug but an end-user issue.
