question of jndi?

this is a old question.	I do not understand how the work of jndi!

in conf directory,have two file:
# jndi.properties: system file for JNDI configuration
# jndi.xml: JNDI configuration file

but in servicemix.xml,do not set jbicontainer's namingContext throght
spring-xbean.when i start servicemix,jbicontainer's namingContext is
null?and in servicemix.xml,why to include jndi.xml?
