At Mulesource we use the wagon plugin to copy over reports from our performance tests to a reporting directory. If I bind the wagon-maven-plugin to the toplevel pom the build fails because the w-m-p is acitvated for pom-only projects as well.

I have created a patch to the trunk version of WagonMojo that allows you to configure to ingore the missing input directory. It would be nice if the patch made it into one of the subsequent versions of the wagon-maven-plugin.
