Newbie's question: skills required?

Hi,

is it possible to run a Cocoon server without having any knowledge in
Java propgramming, or is it necessesary to be an expert to do this?

Thank you, Bertrand. I have browsed through the mail archive (Users),
but of course, there wasn't necessarily a link to a systematic
documentation of the sitemap.
Can you please send me a link where to get a documentation of the Cocoon
sitemap that wouldn't require too extensive a perilimany knowledge?

A good start point is to explore the "hello world" samples. You might
want to start with the documentation tracks at
http://cocoon.apache.org/2.1/tracks/index.html

Quick shot by myself -- I found documentation at the Cocoon site itself,
so I'm going to read this before coming up with possible further
questions...

It is possible but depends on what you need to do.

For multi-channel publishing of XML data into various formats, XSLT and
some knowledge of the Cocoon sitemap will be sufficient.

If you're looking for full-blown web applications, you will certainly
need Java skills.

Another important thing: you must be ready to work at the command-line,
analzye log files to diagnose problems, etc.

Yes! You don't need Java skills at all.

<Q> sure .....
I interpret this very short answer as: sure, it is possible without
programming skills. Correct?
