[jira] [Created] (AMQ-3279) KahaDB does not clean old files in combination with network connectors

KahaDB does not clean old files in combination with network connectors
----------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: AMQ-3279
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQ-3279
             Project: ActiveMQ
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Broker
    Affects Versions: 5.4.1
Environment: 2 Broker Configuration with bidirectional network connectors
Linux server
            Reporter: Albrecht Otto

we saw the well known problem with the KahaDB in our environment (kahadb does not clean old files).
Our Configuration is quite simple: 2 Activemq Broker with bidirectional network connectors.

Now because of other problems i started the brokers with deactivated network connectors - the behaviour of the kahadb does not change,
old files were left in the directory.

After restarting the brokers again with activated network connectors the kahadb works as aspected: old log files are deleted.
This behaviour is may or may not reproducable.

I do not understand this realy, so it would be helpful for me to know, if there exists a relation between kahadb bug and network connectors.

Gary Tully commented on AMQ-3279:
---------------------------------

Could you verify if there is still an issue with a 5.6 snapshot. My suspicion is that it will be resolved.
