clean_files() where is it?

heya

im going through the procedure on writing
the modperl based tests

here is the part thats thowing,currently:

WriteMakefile(
....
    clean               => {
			    FILES => "@{ clean_files() }",
			   }	,
....
);

and here is the message i get:
Undefined subroutine &main::clean_files called at Makefile.PL line 34.

simple enough except i cant find
the module that holds this sub!!

so i was wondering if someone could
tell me what packages this belongs to
ifg there is a typo
or im doing something wrong!

thanks

i tried multiple
--disable-ssl
--disabler-openssl
--without-openssl
--without-ssl

with no success

I don't remember that (you could be right). I do recall that OpenSSL
doesn't want to install shared libs by default, you have to do
--enable-shared (if you compile it yourself).

For the record, flood is *very experimental* and should only be used at
this point by people who are willing to fix/maintain it. I will continue
to make fixes if it suits me or if it'll help another developer, but
other than that I don't forsee much flood development in the near future
(at least until we have something significant for apr-serf).

I thought it was the other way around. On Solaris, OpenSSL can't build
shared libraries.

rm config.cache

Hopefully, you installed the openssl and openssl-devel RPMs now,
so we should detect them now.

Hint, those values need to be yes. =) -- justin

i dunno but here is something i finally noticed:

checking for SHA1 in -lcrypto... (cached) no
checking for SSL_library_init in -lssl... (cached) no

Hmm...it's been too long since I worked on this stuff, do we have something
like FLOOD_HAS_SSL for conditional compilation?

I remember noting that flood can't compile against the static openssl
libs, and I may have put this in the STATUS or something... If not
we should look into this at least.

See if you have /usr/local/ssl/lib/libssl.{a|so}

On my Mandrake 7.2 box, I use the openssl RPMs (openssl and
openssl-devel), so they are at /usr/lib/libssl.so.

configure is not detecting the presence of the OpenSSL libraries.
-lssl is missing.  -- justin

Aaron
yes i am using openssl 0.9.6b

Please read the
docs/src/devel/writing_tests/writing_tests.pod
again. The clean_files sub is defined right after WriteMakefile in the
example.

Also look at the plenty of examples in the modperl-2.0 rep. I've
suggested to look at httpd-test/perl-framework since it's using
Apache-Test as an external (installed) modules suite.
