proxy write through for directories?

how would you guys setup a repository for a freelancer which should  
sync with the companies main repository?

fine grained permissions is not an option since the main repository is  
behind a firewall and the repository for freelancers should be located  
outside in the DMZ.

thoughts?
suggestions?
