AW: adding a big table to the document
Hi Ashish,
I had the same problem as you, I have patched iText to be capable to split
large tables. That means, you set a "append Table" flag through the added
method setAppendTable. This helped the problem in my case, although it
doesn't work perfectly. I have posted the patch a few weeks ago to this
mailing list.
I hope this helps you too.
Best Regards,
Christian

Betreff: adding a big table to the document
Hi,
I am new to iText, i have created a simple program that adds some text
and a table to the PDF file. If i am right I can add the table to the
document only after I have completed creating the table. The data for
the table is dynamic and can be very large at times. Thus creating all
the cells and the table object and holding them all in the memory untill
I actually add the table to the document consumes a huge portion of my
resources. This frequently results in"Out Of Memory error" in case of
large table data.
Can any one suggest as to how I can do a buffered write to the document
with a periodic flush or is there any way by which i can keep on adding
cells to the table once I have added the table to the document this way
the PDFWriter can handle the buffered write. Any suggestions or
alternatives are welcome.
Thanks
Ashish
