The example code provided in the documentation on 'Spark Streaming Custom Receivers' has an error.

val words = lines.flatMap(_.split(" "))

instead of {code}lines.flatMap(_.split(" ")){code} it should be {code}customReceiverStream.flatMap(_.split(" ")){code}
