Debugging JavaScript functions
Hello,
I'm using JavaScript functions to generate input parameters for my samplers.
This is working fine if I run it directly from the GUI. If I run the same
scenario remotely, it does not evaluate the funtions. Unfortunately I do not
see any reason nor error message. Is it possible to debug this part to find
out what's going on?
I've activated the JMeter log levels, but they don't show any trace of the
problem either.
Thanks!

If there is no logging, or insufficient logging, then you will to add
the logging yourself and rebuild the class. If the extra logging is
likely to be generally useful, please create a Bugzilla issue and
attach a patch file to it.
Or you can use the __log() function to help you debug.
Perhaps Mozilla (not Apache) Rhino allows one to define some
properties to enable logging.
You'll need to check the documentation.

Ok, I did that. And I see the JMeter log entries. But I actually don't see
any entry which refers to the evaluation of JavaScript function (which in
fact is Apache Rhino if I understood that correctly). So the question is,
how can I see some more details about what happens to my JavaScript code? Do
you have any advice on this?
Thanks.

You need to enable the logging on the server node - properties are not
sent across from the client.
Also, any logging will go to jmeter.log on the server node.
