   It looks to me as an important bug fix.
   Can we assign it to the nearest version, i.e. 3.0.0-M4?
   I think we have a similar Jira issue with `ClassNotFoundException: ConsoleLogger`, perhaps the same root cause: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SUREFIRE-1520 and the reproducible project is https://github.com/djarnis73/SUREFIRE-1520 which we can use as an IT together with this fix. So we can perhaps fix both at once.
