[jira] [Created] (MADLIB-1063) Add option for using -DPG_CONFIG defaulting to latest supported Postgres

Rahul Iyer created MADLIB-1063:
----------------------------------

Summary: Add option for using -DPG_CONFIG defaulting to latest supported Postgres
                 Key: MADLIB-1063
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MADLIB-1063
             Project: Apache MADlib
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Build System
            Reporter: Rahul Iyer
             Fix For: v2.0

Building {{cmake}} against specific {{pg_config}} files requires assigning specific variables (like {{-DPOSTGRESQL_9_6_PG_CONFIG}}) which is cumbersome to users. This can be simplified by having a default {{-DPG_CONFIG}} that links to latest PostgreSQL version.
