Xalan-J and latest Xerces - when will they be compatable?

Hi,

When is a version of Xalan which is compatable with the latest Xerces due
for release? At the moment I have to use Xerces 1.0.3 or else Xalan breaks,
but I would really like to be able to use Xerces 1.1.1.
