Source Code Management Release Software Engineer
Job Description:
In this role, you will provide process solutions for managing source code
such as overlapping subsystems, parallel development efforts, web server
file management, and third party software dependencies. Break software into
manageable products and components in a way that facilitates both major and
patch releases and addresses the dependencies between products. Streamline,
automate, document and maintain build and release procedures. Assist in
developing strategies to manage installations, upgrades, rollbacks, and
backup/restore.

Assist in developing automated 'smoke test' procedures to catch problems
before hand off to test teams and manage an environment where this is
performed. Help develop processes to manage development and test
environments including keeping environments 'clean', propagating software,
identifying quality gates and tracking what software is installed where.
Skills/Experience:
Experience with source code management, branching, and integrating software.
Tools/coding experience - Java and XML
Source control tools - Subversion, Hudson and Maven
Investigate and drive new automation techniques and tools to ensure quality
of internal and external products
Initiative to automate and improve build systems and automation processes
along with using and maintaining them
Additional Skills:
Red Hat Linux, Apache, Tomcat and JBoss are desirable.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
