[jira] [Commented] (CONNECTORS-515) Support also for openldap, not only activedirectory

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CONNECTORS-515?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13443089#comment-13443089 ]

Karl Wright commented on CONNECTORS-515:

Thanks for creating this ticket, but I have some questions.

(1) The output of the Active Directory authority is Active Directory SIDs. Does openLDAP also typically produce SIDs? If so, what LDAP fields contain these? If not, what repository connector do you think would need whatever access tokens an openLDAP authority could produce?
(2) I'd like a more complete description of the openLDAP scenarios you describe above, preferably with examples.

Thanks!

> Current authority supports only ActiveDirectory. Would be nice to have also support for plain openLDAP and three kinds of groups:
> - memberOf attribute in user (InetOrgPerson) entry
> - posixGroup entry with memberUid attribute
> - groupOfNames entry with member attribute
