[Bug 5809] New: Server Crash w/ perl-5.10.0

http://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/show_bug.cgi?id=5809

           Summary: Server Crash w/ perl-5.10.0
           Product: Spamassassin
           Version: 3.2.4
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P5
         Component: spamc/spamd
        AssignedTo: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
        ReportedBy: jkosin@beta.intcomgrp.com

I'm having a consistent spamassassin server crash whem processing emails. If
I restart the deamon, everything will work well for hours then the deamon
crashes for some reason.

I'm attaching a logfile from my mail server filtered for only spamd entries
for simplicity.

Anyone know of the problem or any possible fix?

Thanks,
James

I've upped the severity; since many users (or at least a growing group will be
migrating to the new PERL soon).
Anything I can do to track the problem down???

Thnaks,
James

can you reproduce the crash with the command-line "spamassassin" tool?
what linux distro are you using?

those prefork statuses are fine btw.

No, I'd not experienced any crashes with 5.8.7, loaded before. This is only
something that started with stable perl 5.10.0.
