as per my knowledge, synchr timer is used for creating load on a particular
call/functionality...its something like rendezvous point in LR.
all the threads will wait till the moment is reached ...and makes call to
that functionality/URL simultaneously...

any heapdump is created in your jmeter machine?
may be because of non availability of resources system would fail to
simulate threads all at once?
