Hi Florent,

i tried this but it doesn't seem to work with me. I've never seen anywhere
the need to  declare any component in cocoon.xconf. Actually, so far i didn
t need to edit directly this file at all, since it's generated regarding the
components you selected at build time.
Do you know the difference between components declared in cocoon.xconf and
components declared in the sitemap ?
Do you have any idea of how the lookup of the MailSender component can
suceed on my local computer if it's not declared (either in the sitemap or
in cocoon.xconf) ?

I had the same error (could not find componet MailSender) because I hadn't
declare the mail sender component in Cocoon.xconf.
 
<component class="org.apache.cocoon.mail.MailMessageSender" logger="core
mail.MailSender" role="org.apache.cocoon.mail.MailSender"/>
 
For me it's solved my error ;-)

It's working fine on my local computer with tomcat, but once uploaded online
on resin i get the following error :



org.apache.cocoon.ProcessingException: Failed to execute pipeline.: org

apache.avalon.framework.component.ComponentException: Could not find
component (key [org.apache.cocoon.mail.MailSender]) 



I understand that the lookup of the class fails, but i don't undestand why.

-the cocoon-mail-block.jar is in the lib folder

-the cocoon.xconf include the definition of the built in xsl stylesheet



do i need anything else ?
