Flume test failures

Hey

Im trying to perform a maven package of flume head and keep getting test
failures for

TestMockClock
TestConcurrentDFOMan

Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced these failures before i
look into them more.

Here are the tests that I know are sometimes flakey. The first four seem to
be the most frequent, while the last bunch occurs but somewhat rarely. I
think I've seen TestMockClock fail, but it it is in the rare category and
actually testing some testing code. Due to some upgrades of avro, I believe
that the log4j-appender tests hang. (FLUME-759).
