[jira] [Created] (INFRA-3538) Recover latest artifacts in
distribution directories
Recover latest artifacts in distribution directories
----------------------------------------------------
Key: INFRA-3538
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-3538
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Task
Security Level: public (Regular issues)
Components: Backups, Dists
Environment: ASF dist
Reporter: Massimo Manghi
Starting today latest artifacts for project tcl.apache.org have disappeared from their main directory (both for Rivet and Websh) at http://www.apache.org/dist//tcl/. Even though the latest tarball for Rivet is still in http://www.apache.org/dist//tcl/rivet/source/ I connected on people.apache.org expecting to find it there and found out it's totally gone from /x1/www/archive.apache.org/dist/tcl/rivet/

Massimo Manghi commented on INFRA-3538:
---------------------------------------
Sorry Tony for having failed to respond earlier. I'm very busy in these
days.
I hope I was right to report the problem this way, I've started to
think that the system wasn't
appropriate to file a report about a problem that could be transitory.
Last week the dist directory for Rivet on www.apache.org didn't show
the artifacts
rivet-2.0.2.tar.gz and rivet-2.0.3.tar.gz (along with their .asc
signature and .md5 files)
located in the root directory of the project
(http://www.apache.org/dist//tcl)
With 'latest tarballs' I meant the tarballs I release just a week
earlier (rivet-2.0.3...).
At the time of the malfunction the tarballs were still visible on most
mirrors of ASF,
but not on the master distribution site.
A few hours later everything magically reappeared, and this also
contributed to
my lack of swift reaction to your response.
thank you anyway
