Code fragment listing that includes line numbers?

I'm just curious to know if there is a way to put together a listing of a
piece of code in Netbeans (whole file, a class, a method etc) that includes
line numbers?

If not, then what other ways might this be done on Linux?

You could use "cat -n FILE" and redirect the output to a new file.
