batik and rhino

Is it possible to remove Rhino from batik?

 From the FAQ, it appears that Rhino provide ECMA script support.

   Sure, just don't include rhino.jar, of course
documents that try to use ecmascript will fail but
I think you will still get any static content in the
document.
