Updates to the patches should be out shortly to simplify / make the mechanism cleaner and remove all user-visible removals which were occuring without a proper deprecation cycle based on a peer review with [~benjaminhindman], as well as document the mechanism.

> More cases keep being added of parsing file:// URIs, opening the file they point at, reading the value otu of that file, and then using it for a specific argument. It would be nice if all the mesos arguments could just do this automatically / it was a feature of <stout/flags>.
