Logging the users name with mod_proxy
I am a newbie to apache.
I moving from squid to apache for proxy and also be begin building an
Intranet for our site.
My first goal was to get better logging from apache.
What I am attempting to do is log where everyone is going.
To do this is see that I have %u for remote user and %l, but I have to
have the http in idnetd.
I am using RH7.1 with apache Server version: Apache/1.3.22 (Unix)
(Red-Hat/Linux)Server built: Nov 15 2001 15:52:57 which uses xidnetd
and I am not sure how to make the ServerType a idnetd to so I can get
theses entries in the logs.
Currently my logs have - - where I should see this information.
example:
stargate.kenosha.org - - [19/Dec/2001:12:10:52 -0600] "GET
http://www.coca-cola.
com/santa.swf HTTP/1.0" 200 13647 "http://www.coca-cola.com/"
"Mozilla/4.76C-CCK
-MCD [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.2.7-1.23 i686)"
stargate.kenosha.org - - [19/Dec/2001:12:10:56 -0600] "GET
http://www.coca-cola.
com/xmas_tree.swf HTTP/1.0" 200 16238 "http://www.coca-cola.com/"
"Mozilla/4.76C
-CCK-MCD [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.2.7-1.23 i686)"
~
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
