IMO this is a WONTFIX: this project owns /usr/bin/soffice
If RedHat's libreoffice-core package has hijacked it, then it is a problem that
may need to be solved by legal means, not by this project renaming the
conflictive files. Using the alternatives packages might be another solution,
but not every distro supports alterantives.

IMO this isn¡t a release blocker, but you are free to request that status.
