The node's action context popup menu does not display icons. This is a problem for some NetBeans Platform user who want to display icons in the context popup menu.

And there is a workaround: [https://benkiew.wordpress.com/2012/12/28/netbeans-how-to-create-a-context-aware-action-with-an-icon-for-the-context-menu/]

 

But the workaround has problems if you want to display the actions in the toolbar because of the icon size.
