James not un-packing
Hi. I am new to this list and James.
I am trying to configure James and it is not unpacking (I am unfortunately
doing this on windows2000 right now).
Here is what is happeneing:
1) I run the bat file
2) In explorer I see that apps/james/conf and apps/james/sar-inf both exisit
3) I cntrl-c out of the bat
4) I go back to explorer and the apps/james/conf and apps/james/sar-inf are
both gone
Is there something I am doing wrong?
Thanks

You're doing nothing wrong...this is actually the intended behavior of
Avalon, the server-platform that James runs within. This is something
that we're hoping gets changed in a future release of Avalon.
In the meantime, you should be able to change this by editing a file in
the apps/james/conf directory. If anything has changed, then Avalon
doesn't delete the extracted sar.

I fixed this by manually unpacking the james.sar using winzip.
I don't know what the problem was, but it works now. :-)
Thanks

I don't think so, which is no help to you!
I'll try to reproduce this and see what happens.
