[jira] Created: (TS-244) FreeBSD needs -lexecinfo ?
FreeBSD needs -lexecinfo ?
--------------------------
Key: TS-244
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TS-244
Project: Traffic Server
Issue Type: Bug
Reporter: Leif Hedstrom
Priority: Minor
It seems on FBSD (v8 at least), that you need to link in libexecinfo (so, -lexecinfo) in order to get the backtrace_symbols_fd() symbol. This probably needs to be associated with the check for the existance of execinfo.h.

It seems the package libexecinfo-1.1_3 is installed by default, providing this interface. I'm guessing a solution could also be to uninstall this package :).

hmmm, uninstalling this package would be difficult without also disabling things like "gnome" (at least there are dependencies there).
