WP refinement

Open Office should update the word processor so merely hitting the down arrow moves the cursor to the end of the line, instead of having to hit a key combination. Nice refinement.

It'll be interesting to see how long it takes to update all the existing installations.

You are wrong. The Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad has a End key.

Are you using a Mac OS? Everyone else uses the End key which the
Mac does not have. I find this to be a deficiency that Apple should
correct. (Obviously, they don't think so.)

Navigation keys for OpenOffice work the same way as other applications on my Mac. That is the
way it should be. If you want dedicated keys get a Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad. Its
extended layout includes document navigation controls — page up, page down, home, and end — and
full-size arrow keys for playing games and scrolling through documents.

I must be missing something, but on every word processor I´ve used since
1988 to this date, the down arrow moves the cursor to the next line below
the current one.

If he reassings the key to something else, how would he/she be able to
scroll down the document one line at a time?.

I think a shift-down_arrow or ctrl-down_arrow combination would be better.
