   Not quite, since this does not allow for deviation in the start time of the batch job, which means messages could either be skipped or reprocessed.
   
   Additionally, during early implementation we ran into stability issues around starting from latestmessageid and seeking by offset from there. These may be solved, but the problem of time drift still seems relevant.
