DOMConfigurator.props

Hello,
Is DOMConfigurator.props (line 127) actually used anywhere? It looks
like it never gets initialized.

Greetings, Lilianne E. Blaze

There is an open bug involving property substitution (http://
issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=43325) that appears to be
a regression from log4j 1.2.14, but I haven't had a chance to
investigate it. It does mention that props is not initialized. It
isn't private, so even if it is unused, it can't be removed without
potentially breaking compatibility (though it would only affect
extensions of DOMConfigurator that were in the org.apache.log4j.xml
package).
