Batik as an applet
Hi Batik Users,
I was just wondering if anybody had any experience converting
Batik to run as an applet in a browser?
What would be involved in performing the conversion?
The requirements that I have state that only limited Batik
functionality is needed, like rendering the image in a browser and have zoom
in, zoo out, pan functions.
Any help/thoughts greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,

This has changed. It is now possible to use dynamic SVGs, without getting
the
javascript error.
On the other hand, there ends up being around 1.5MB of Batik JARs to include
in the applet archive, so unless your applet is going to be used over
broadband or a LAN, it could be a bit slow to load the first time.
cheers,
William.

Hello,
the last time I tried (1 year ago),
it was possible, but only to use "static" SVG,
a javascript statement in the SVG generates an error.
I was trying to use SVG without having to install an SVG Client on the client
system ... I failed.
Good luck,
