Rebalance not workingin 5.8.0

We previously had rebalance working in 5.4.2 with mulitple clients connecting
to two brokers but it appears this stopped working after an upgrade to
5.8.0. All clients now connect to Broker 1 when it is started first. If
Broker 1 is stopped all clients fail over to Broker 2 and stay there once
Broker 1 is restarted.

We are using the following Broker config:

And the following Client config:

Do we have this configured wrong or does anyone know if this still works
with 5.8.0 or have there been some changes?

Thanks, Wayne

So you've enabled updateClusterClients rebalanceClusterClients and updateClusterClientsOnRemove on the transport connector on both brokers in the broker config ?

Yes the brokers are networked. The failover works - just not the rebalance...

Broker 1:

Broker 2:

On reflection we may not have had this working in 5.4 - the clients connected
split across the two brokers on initial start-up because we still had both
brokers configured in the client failover string at that time (the random
connection was working) so it looked like rebalance was working but probably
if we stopped one of the brokers then all of the clients would have failed
over to the other broker and then stayed there....

Just rolling back to 5.4.2 now to confirm if the rebalance was working in
that version.
