The mirror script which choses the local mirror can also be used to provide a direct download URL.

For example, instead of

http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi?path=/activemq/5.13.2/apache-activemq-5.13.2-bin.zip

try using the following:

http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi?filename=/activemq/5.13.2/apache-activemq-5.13.2-bin.zip&action=download
