Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: JAMES-90
Summary: MailAddress class accepts addresses with äöü characters
       Type: Bug

     Status: Closed
 Resolution: FIXED

    Project: James
 Components:
             Mailet API
   Versions:
             2.1

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Andre Schild

    Created: Wed, 26 Feb 2003 9:40 AM
    Updated: Sun, 6 Jun 2004 2:01 PM
Environment: Operating System: All
Platform: Other

Description:
When creating a new MailAddress("äöü@here.net") then this is accepted.

I excepted it to refuse names with characters > 128 in it.

I'm not 100% sure if this is realy a bug, or if such names are still valid.
In case it's not valid, see the attached patch.
