Rsyslog for log collecting?

Hi Urs,

have you already looked at rsyslog?

Maybe we could use this for the log collecting part of ALOIS. The
analyzing part seems to be good, but far not as flexible as ALOIS -
however, they use some similar functionalities and the thing looks stable.
