Hi [~cutting], After long time, I have some time to take this task now. I am thinking that XML should looks like, your second option.

Example:
<Foo>
  <x>10</x>
</Foo>
Let me start gather some more information. I will check all the data type AVRO support and prepare XML samples for those schema. Kindly let me know your inputs.
