[jira] Created: (UIMA-9) Remove support for xi:include

Remove support for xi:include
-----------------------------

                 Key: UIMA-9
                 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-9
             Project: UIMA
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Core Java Framework
            Reporter: Adam Lally
         Assigned To: Adam Lally

It was decided on the dev list to remove support for xi:include in UIMA descriptors. Already this feature does not work with the XML parser bundled in Sun Java 1.5, and it is not supported by the Component Descriptor Editor plugin. The <import/> syntax has replaced it in all of our examples and test cases.
