I checked the dependencies again today, because the question is what we depend on in the Spark software artifacts.

oncrpc is still LGPL, so I don't think this situation has changed.

Of course this raises the same issue you raised regarding Kinesis libs. We don't ship this LGPL code in any artifact, but we have an optional module depending on it. By the same logic we'd have to remove this one too.
