Dear Wiki user,

The "NearRealtimeSearch" page has been changed by NagendraNagarajayya:
http://wiki.apache.org/solr/NearRealtimeSearch?action=diff&rev1=8&rev2=9

There is also a blog post detailing some of the current improvements in this area on trunk located here: http://www.lucidimagination.com/blog/2011/07/11/benchmarking-the-new-solr-%E2%80%98near-realtime%E2%80%99-improvements/

+ Near Real Time Search for Solr 3.3/3.2/1.4.1 is available with the [[http://solr-ra.tgels.org|RankingAlgorithm]]. You do not need to issue commits to enable concurrent searches. As there is no commit, the indexing is fast and an update performance of about 10,000 documents / sec has been observed with the MBArtists index (390k documents) on a two core Linux system. You can get more information about the implementation from here, http://solr-ra.tgels.com/wiki/en/Near_Real_Time_Search_ver_3.x.

+ Note: The NRT solution has been submitted as a JIRA issue, https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-2568.
